100% Aglianico, field blend of grapes from the Oswald Vineyard near Brownfield, Texas on the Texas High Plains. Gently crushed, the grapes were encouraged to express the dark fruit flavors and spicy finish that are the signatures of quality Aglianico.
Aged with new French oak, this Aglianico is layered with hints of red cherry, dried fruit, caramel and chocolate.
Pairs well with cut filet, beef ragu with roasted peppers, or pasta bolgnese. Also, spicy sausages, barbecued meats, game dishes and beef stew. Hard and sharp cheeses, such as Taleggio or Pecorino from Italy or Manchego from Spain.
